To publish for you, Studs needs permission to update a game on your Roblox account. Studs Connect sets that up in one sign-in, with no API key to create, copy or paste. It works on a phone too.

How to connect

In Studs, click Connect Roblox in the publish menu or the avatar menu.
Studs Connect starts a computer in the cloud just for you and opens Roblox's sign-in page on it. Sign in with the same Roblox account you use for Studs.
Wait a moment while it sets things up. Roblox Studio on that computer makes up to 5 games named Studs game 1 to Studs game 5, and an API key named Studs Connect that can only publish to those games.
Studs Connect signs you out, deletes the computer and sends you back to Studs, where you will see Roblox is connected.

Then publish your game into any of the 5 games.

Is it safe?

The sign-in page is Roblox's real one, running in Roblox's own window on that computer, so your password goes to Roblox and not to Studs. Studs Connect keeps the key and only uses it when you ask Studs to publish. Studs itself never sees or stores it. Nothing else on your account changes.

Rather use your own key?

In Studs Connect, open What is this? and choose Set up a key by hand. Then

Open the Roblox Creator Dashboard and create a new API key named Studs Publishing Key.
Under Access Permissions, choose the API system universe-places and the operation write. This is the step most people get wrong.
Generate the key, copy it straight away (Roblox shows it only once) and paste it into Studs Connect.

If something is off

Connecting didn't work. Start again from Studs. If it keeps failing, wait a minute and try once more.
You signed in with a different Roblox account. Studs Connect stops before it makes anything. Start again and sign in with the account you use for Studs.
Your own key is refused. It needs universe-places with write. Edit the key on Roblox or make a new one.
